The Trust for Public Land

The Trust for Public Land (TPL) is a national nonprofit land conservation organization that conserves land for people to enjoy as parks, community gardens, historic sites, rural lands and other natural places. We partner with TPL in the national awards program Cox Conserves Heroes, which honors volunteers among us who create or preserve shared outdoor places in our local communities.

American Rivers

American Rivers

American Rivers protects and restores the nation’s rivers and the clean water that sustains people, wildlife and nature. Founded in 1973, American Rivers has more than 65,000 members and supporters, with offices in Washington, D.C., and nationwide. Since the beginning of our partnership with American Rivers, Team Cox volunteers have cleaned up 26 tons of debris from waterways.

Captain Planet Foundation

For more than 30 years, Captain Planet Foundation has worked as a program operator and grant-maker to engage and empower young people to be problem-solvers for our planet. A key element of our partnership is Project Learning Gardens which has provided more than 530 U.S. elementary schools with creating sustainable gardens that become onsite learning laboratories and provide healthy food access.

The Recycling Partnership

The Recycling Partnership

The Recycling Partnership is a national non-profit mobilizing people, data, and solutions across the value chain to unlock the environmental and economic benefits of recycling and a circular economy. Since 2014, TRP has diverted 500 million pounds of new recyclables from landfills, saved 968 million gallons of water, avoided more than 500,000 metric tons of greenhouse gases and driven significant reductions in targeted contamination rates. In 2022, the Recycling Partnership launched the Recycling Inclusion Fund with a group of corporate partners, including Cox, to address racial disparities and systemic challenges in the U.S. waste and recycling industries.

Renewable Energy Buyers Alliance

The Renewable Energy Buyers Alliance focuses on accelerating the fast-growing market for utility-scale corporate renewable energy transactions to deploy 60 GW of new corporate renewable energy capacity by 2025. In 2016, Cox signed onto the alliance.
